    • Fairbanks This vibrant city in the far north features a charming downtown, a thriving arts community, and rich Alaska Native culture. Be sure to visit the Museum of The North to learn of the region’s history & culture.
    • Chena Hot Springs Located at the center of a 40-square-mile geothermal area, Chena Hot Springs receives a steady stream of water that even needs to be cooled before one can soak in it. Be sure to check out the Aurora Ice Museum that is constructed from more than 1,000 tons of ice and snow!
    • Hwy 3 The highway that connects travellers from Anchorage to Fairbanks. Though the drive is roughly 7 hours, but you will have plenty of daylight with the famous midnight Sun during Summer.

    1. Day 1 Anchorage - Denali National Park

      Upon your arrival at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, collect your baggage and head to the rental car counter to pick up your prearranged rental vehicle. Make your way north and enjoy the unique scenery on your way to the world’s larges wildlife refuge, Denali National Park. Embrace the beauty of Alaska along the way, and notice the different type of vegetation that are unique only to region.

      In three hours or so, you will arrive at Denali National Park. The park was established in 1916 and opened its door to the visitors after the completion of the railway project in 1923. You can overlook Mt. McKinley, the highest peak in North America at 6195m, and the lakes formed from the melting of large and small snows packs, setting off the snow-white mountain tops and tundra in the background. This scenery can only be seen in Alaska during the Summer Season, which is only aroud three to four months a year.

      Tonight, for an additional fee, you can take part in the Alaska Cabin Nite which includes nightly shows and local dinner.

    2. Day 2 Denali National Park

      Today you will take part in the Denali National Park Tundra Wilderness Tour.

      This tour will guide you along the spectacular road corridor, promising different experiences every day, as Denali’s wildlife moves at its own pace and according to the seasons. Travel to the Murie Cabin near the East Fork River to experience where Adolf Murie lived while conducting his famous research inside what was then known as Mount McKinley National Park!

      In the afternoon, if time permitted, you may participate in other activities at your own expense, such as off-road vehicle adventures, horse-drawn carriage roaming, or helicopter viewing trips.

    3. Day 3 Denali National Park - Fairbanks - Chena Hot Springs

      Summer at Chena Hot Springs

      Today, you will be leaving Denali and continue northboud to Fairbanks for lunch and resupply with a roughly two hour drive, and then continue to drive for 60 miles to Chena Hot Springs Resort.

      Chena Hot Springs is one of the most interesting tourist destination for watching the Northern Lights during Fall and Winter Seasons. Guests here has the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor hot spring pool (there are also indoor hot spring pools) and watch the Northern Lights at the same time; so please bring your own swimming suit should so you can enjoy the pools!

      In the afternoon, visit the Ice Museum, which is a miniature version of the ICE HOTEL that allows you to experience an ice castle made entirely of ice, the polar bear ice bed, ice statues, or sit on an ice chair at the ICE BAR and enjoy a drink in an ”ice cup”.

      Note: Ice cup drinks are alcoholic drinks and are only available to adults over 19 years old).

    4. Day 4 Chena Hot Springs - Fairbanks

      You will be departing Chena Hot Springs today and drive back to Fairbanks. Along the way, make a stop at the Great Alaskan Oil Pipeine: This 1,480-kilometer long oil pipeline runs through Alaska starting from Plow Bay in the Arctic, passing through Fairbanks to Valdez, crossing the various frozen tundras along the way.

      You can also head to Mine No. 8 to learn about the century of gold mining in Alaska! For the young at hearts, visit Santa Claus’ House in the North Pole Village: you will have the opportunity to take photos with Santa Claus, as well as Santa’s exclusive mount Reindeer and the North Pole cabin! Fairbank is also known as the Golden Heart of Alaska; 100 years ago, rich gold deposits were discovered near Fairbank! Look for the huge statue of Golden Heart Park that symbolizes the vitality of national integration!

      In the afternoon, go to the University of Alaska Museum of the North (Museum of North) to learn about polar displays in Alaska; tundra, oil, northern lights, coastline, aborigines, gold rush and various northern wildlife; watch Northern Lights videos, Introducing the Northern Lights, their beauty and the stories of the Indians! For dinner at your own expense, you can taste Alaska’s unique grilled salmon meal (Alaska Salmon Bake), allowing you to enjoy a delicious dinner with the sound of music.

    5. Day 5 Fairbanks - Talkeetna

      After a well rested night, you will bid farewell to Fairbanks and head south to Talkeetna. The tiny, funky hamlet of Talkeetna is straight out of many visitors’ mental picture of life in small-town Alaska. It is the gateway every summer for climbers who wants to challenge Mount McKenlay. All climbers must enter the mountain from here, and then be flown to the base before they can begin their climb.

      You can take a McKinley Experience Tour at your own expense by float plane or small plane, which is a commonly used for of transportation in Alaska all through the lakes and tundra; the main peak, Mt. McKinley, is 6,174 meters high and is the highest in North America. The peak is the sacred mountain in the eyes of Americans; the secondary peak Mt. Froaker is 5,303 meters, and the 4,442-meter Mt. Hunter creates a majestic view of the sacred mountain. The experienced tour guide will lead the tourists into the forest to view the hunter’s cabin and introduce various hunting animals. Utensils and animal skins introduce the way of life in Alaska for hundreds of years.

    6. Day 6 Talkeetna - Wasilia - Anchroage

      Day 6 will have you continue driving south to Wasilla before arriving back at Anchorage.

      At Wasilla, visit the headquarters of Iditarod, which is the name of the annual Alaska Sled Dog Race. The 1,046-mile long-distance race from Anchorage to Nome is a perfect example of human and dog physical fitness, this ultimate test of extremes is the best testiment of the close relationship between dogs and people!

      Back at Anchorage, the capital of Alaska. You can visit the Earthquake Park, Seaplane Airport, Alaska Museum, Aboriginal Reservation Center and Alaska Railway Station; the 9.2-magnitude earthquake in 1964 not only destroyed Anchorage, but also brought Anchorage a new life!

    7. Day 7 Anchorage

      Today is the last day of this journey. Make you way to the airport to drop off your rental vehicle, and mark an incredible end to your Alaska Frontier experience.
